Notes :

The dome was designed first by Bramante (1503) and then by Michelangelo, who in 1546 conceived of a spherical dome, only the drum of which was completed at his death in 1564. Giacomo Della Porta and the engineer Carlo Fontana redesigned and vaulted the dome from 1585-1590; the dome was completed with Fontana's lantern and ball in 1593.

This is kind of a good one I thought - part or whole? What is the work? If we just did the St. Peters Basilica as the work, how can we express the many collaborators/participants?
